Today, the sermon at church was particularly fascinating. I usually avoid the noon mass because I do not like the priest that usually celebrates at that time. But I think that this time what he said was particularly captivating.
The gospel was about the fact that many times we just look at other beings and ourselves just by using our brains, our cultures and our stereotypical ideas. We should instead look back to our hearts. Do we perceive ourselves as an image of God or as the world sees us? And at the same time how do we look at other people? The idea would be that we should look at the wonder of other beings and not focus on their negative aspects. We should not forget that supposedly there is a beauty in everybody and that since God creates us all, we should all go back to him and observe others with God’s eyes!
